Cannes'd Laughter

A busy week it's been at the Cannes Film Festival. The press were presented with a number of highly anticipated projects. Some were received with uproarious praise, like Up, Precious, Fish Tank, Bright Star, and A Prophet. Others, however, have been either shrugged off with indifference (Taking Woodstock) or downright crushed with bile and derisive laughter (Anti-Christ).

All these things will be taken into account when I post my first offiial predictions update in early June. Cannes isn't over yet, though. There are still some very interesting features still to screen.
